Zig Zag Truss
Zig zag box is a packable and expandable structure activating vertically and horizontally. It is an aggregation of hollow beams, which give stiffens, insulation and a possibility of indirect lights to the structure. The structure has slits to catch lights which makes a pattern on the top layers of the structure. Honeycomb boards with two different surfaces, aluminium and translucent glass fibre, are used as material of the structure. These help to transmit indirect lights to space under the roof and lighten the structure because of low density of the materials. The roof is supported by a column fixed at the centre and branched posts, and they also allow the structure to be deployed by pulling runner up and down.
